I didn't make all that much stuff for Halloween but I'm still happy with what I did! After I baked the miniatures I set up a little display and photographed it, but it didn't show the detail in the pieces well enough. Soo, I took closeups of all the items and here they are!
This miniature pumpkin has got to be my favorite Halloween mini I've made. It was so fun to make and ad you can see its quite detailed! If you look closely you'll see that there is brown and green shading on the stalk and a little on the pumpkin itself. This effect was done by applying soft pastels with a brush. Now, Halloween wouldn't be complete without candy would it? That's why I created these tiny candy corns and spooky candy canes! To give you an idea of the size of these things, the candy corns measure a tiny 4mm in height! I created them by creating a 'rope' of white, yellow and orange. I then blended them and cut triangles. I used a similar process to make the candy canes. I made a 'rope' out if translucent orange and black and then twisted it.
Yes, these are the same donuts I posted a couple of days ago, but I thought I'd post them again because I didn't talk much about them last time. As I said before, donuts are very fiddly to make - especially when it comes to icing them! I had to use a toothpick to apply my liquid Fimo icing and then to create the zigzags on two of the donuts I had to let some icing dribble down off the toothpick into a string and then ice it that way, if that makes sense!!
Last, but not least, it's the miniature Halloween cake! At first glance you would probably think that this cake had chocolate icing when in fact it has dark purple icing! The same goes to the miniature donuts! This cake is pretty much the same as the one I made then lost, except in different colours:)
And that's all I have to say for now, Happy Halloween!!
